Description
This Nereide takes its name from the aventurine glass, a particular glass processing technique invented in Venice in the 17th century and characterized by needle-like metal micro-inclusions, which produce a multitude of glittering reflections, reminiscent of the stars in the night sky. About the brand The name “aventurine” is believed to be rooted in the word “adventure,” signifying an uncertain and daring endeavor. Interestingly, Venetian glassmakers, pioneers in aventurine production, stumbled upon it accidentally by introducing copper fragments into glass paste. The unexpected result spurred them to develop a formal process for creating and crafting this unique compound.A constellation of minuscule light fragments emerges against the rich blue backdrop of aventurine, conjuring the enigmatic allure of stars and the cosmic darkness. The rehaut, featuring a sunray texture, adds intricacy to the overall design.Nereide Avventurina emphasizes its versatility. Beyond the captivating aventurine dial, the formidable durability provided by tungsten and sapphire crystal makes this timepiece ideal for everyday wear. The entire Nereide collection draws inspiration from its namesake submarine, depicted in the engraved centerpiece of the caseback. Nereide Aventurine, indeed a diving watch, boasts water resistance up to 200m and features a rotating bezel for monitoring dive times. Our commitment to design excellence is paramount. The newly crafted, Italian-made rubber strap ensures optimal comfort while seamlessly integrating with the case’s contours. Leveraging three distinct finishes, it contributes to a stunning aesthetic appeal.Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9, a luminescent pigment responsive to both sunlight and artificial light, appears white during the day. Once charged, it emits a radiant blue-green glow in low-light conditions, establishing itself as the preferred solution in the world of watchmaking for enhanced visibility.
